Just out of curiosity, do you prefer to choose regular ranking maps for the touraments (approximatly 6 choices each tournament) or the specuially made maps, that are unknown to all.  I will leave the poll open for 1 week to get your opnions.  Thanks, ~Scrappinbarb

sorry to bother with another question :

Are members of the crew involved (playing) in these tournaments ?

If the answer is Yes - then it would be more fair to play regular lobby maps in tournaments

Just because if I am playing with someone who created a map and knows this maps week and strong spots , while I am still trying to figure out this new to me map is slightly disadvantage.

If the answer is NO - then new maps are great idea for tournaments.

Yes, the crew plays in the tournaments - but NO they do not have an advantage.  They are unplayed just as any other player in the tournament would have them....

I have been thinking more on the map choices for the tournaments.  A suggestion might be to have "themed rounds"  in a tourney.  So instead of the two options you mentioned in the poll, outline which maps are played in each round.  For instance:
Round 1 - Circle round: Play all three of these maps in any order, Golden Circle M, Golden Circle XL and Hesitation.
Round 2 - Gold Rush round: Play all three in any order, Gold Secret, Frustrate and Inward Journey.
Round 3 - Lumberjack round: Play all three, Forest Escape, Christmas and a Custom map involving a lot of wood.
Round 4 - Real World round: Play all three, United States, Dutch Empire and Risky Xplorers.

These of course are suggetions, you could find all sorts of similar groupings in the existing maps especially if you throw in a custom one each round.

Thanks for the great idea Benton.  The crew liked it so much, that with a couple of changes -> sign-ups have now begun!!  http://forums.asobrain.com/index.php?board=106.0  ~Scrappinbarb
